Part-Time School Counselor
Hours per week: 20 hours
Position Summary:
Seeking compassionate, student-centered professional dedicated to fostering the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in grades PreK–8 with their academic, emotional, and social development.
- Collaborate with faculty, administration, and families to identify and address student needs.
- Provide crisis intervention and referrals when necessary, maintaining confidentiality and following diocesan protocols.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs and initiatives that promote positive behavior, character development, and mental health awareness.
- Conduct regular classroom guidance lessons focused on topics such as empathy, conflict resolution, peer relationships, and decision-making.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in School Counseling, Psychology, Education, or related field.
- Successfully complete Diocesan background and reference checks.
- Complete Diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training prior to first day.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in School Counseling or closely related field.
- NC School Counselor License, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Experience working as a school counselor or in a school-based mental health role.

Elementary Teacher

- Accept the mission of the school as articulated at the Diocesan and school level.

Part-time Band Instructor (Grades 4 – 8)

Position Summary:
St. Mary Catholic School is seeking a talented Part-Time Band Instructor. This role will serve as the instructor of brass, woodwinds, and percussion to small groups. Two classes per day. Two days per week.
Key responsibilities:
- Teach fundamentals and advanced instrumental band performance to Grades 4-5 combined and Grades 6-8 combined.
- With other performing arts teachers, perform three basis shows per year

- Teach technology specials and elective classes
- Manage hardware and software inventory in 1:1 Chromebook environment
- Oversee internet safety and security policies and procedures
- Point of contact with internet provider
- Manage internet-based assessments and solutions
- First responder to technical issues
