Connelly Tree Preservation employees were high in the top of the Boundary Oak this morning trimming out dead branches and excess growth. The tree will also receive a deep root fertilization and bracing of one of the lower branches. Hopefully, she'll be ready for another 100 years or so! The tree dates back to the late 1700's when it was said to mark the eastern border of the city of Wilmington. ... See MoreSee Less

The St. Mary Catholic School

St. Mary Catholic School is dedicated to a total education program in grades Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Simply stated, our school philosophy is that every facet of life is important: Spiritual, Physical, Educational, and Emotional.

The faculty and staff strive to instill Christian values so that each student becomes a force of good in God’s world. At the same time, the educational program leads and encourages students to develop their intellect to its full potential.

St. Mary Catholic School’s graduates are prepared to enroll in the honors courses offered by area high schools. The school’s emphasis is on preparing students to be independent learners who maintain high academic achievements and standards throughout their high school and college years.

St. Mary Catholic School is  first Catholic school in North Carolina. The school was established in 1869.
