Athletic Director

Welcome: First, I would like to welcome all new families to our St. Mary family. You will soon see how great the school and staff is here. To our returning families, I am happy to welcome you back after a warm, relaxing, fun summer. I know there will be a back-to-school night soon, but I would like to mention a few things to you now so you can stop by the gym and chat with me at Orientation on August 21.

Fall Sports: Our fall sports have begun, girls volleyball started last week, and next week our coed cross country program begins. If your son or daughter is still interested in either of these sports please have them come to the gym this week and talk to me about volleyball (6th-8th grade) or next week to talk to me or coach Allen about coed cross country (4-8th grade). Do not wait until school starts to have your daughter see me about volleyball…..it will be too late. The team will be formed and ready for competition the last week of August. My email is viollisa@thestparish.org

New Scoreboard! We have just installed a new state-of-the-art scoreboard. For all of our home games, we will need two parents to work the two control panels. One is the stat console and the other is the main score/time console. If you are interested in helping, please get in touch with me, and I will show you how simple it is to operate the scoreboard.

St. Mary Spirit Wear: We are bringing back St. Mary Spirit Wear to our families. Mrs. JoAnn Daley will be sending home an information sheet and order form regarding the wearing of St. Mary Spirit Wear. We hope all parents and students purchase a t-shirt or sweatshirt to wear around town or on Spirit Days at school. st-mary-school-t-shirt-order-form-2018-fillable

Athletic Boosters: Please help me keep Athletic Boosters alive. I am looking for parents who would like to work with me on events to help our athletic program. We would meet one a month for about an hour to discuss what we can do to keep our athletic program exciting and financially successful. Please think about what we have been able to do for our gym and our students so far. I need your help to keep making our gym and our programs things about which we are very proud! Please stop by the gym on Orientation night (August 21) and talk to me. Things are great, but they can be even better….we need to keep improving and growing.

I am looking forward to seeing you and your children soon. Don’t forget about fall sports…the time to act is now!
