FALCON FRIGHT NIGHT IS COMING!
Friday, October 21 – 4 – 8 pm
Get ready to get scared! Falcon Fright Night is fast approaching! Spook-fest organizer, Prioleau Gilbert, has tons of fun in store for kids of all ages including a gigantic bounce house, a photo booth, a balloon twister, face painting and craft stations as well as some terrific raffles. Come and enjoy dinner off the grill, DJ music and live performances by Dr. Spencer’s Violin Students and our own Falcon Cheerleaders! Our new art teacher, Ms. Kristin Frey, will be directing festival-goers in the creation of an Art Wall.
This year’s FFN will feature over 14 games including new exciting challenges like Basketball Hoopla, a jousting tournament, Googly-Eye drawing, Hit the Planet, and a new Pokemon Go-themed Spin the Wheel game. Returning is the always popular Soda Toss and Cake Walk. Winners of each of the games will be entered into a bonus round to win a prize such as movie tickets and gift cards. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the special price of $8 for 30 tickets. On the day of the event, tickets will be $8 for 15 tickets or $10 for 30 tickets.
And for the brave, the intrepid, the adventurous: the 8th grade’s HAUNTED HOUSE will scare your socks off! The proceeds benefit their class trip to Camp Don Lee.
In order to make Falcon Fright Night a great success, we are asking for donations of $2 toward prizes, cakes for the cake walk bags of candy and/or sponsorship of a specific activity.
HSA BOARD MEETING
HSA held our first Board Meeting of 2016 and accomplished a great deal. The minutes are posted on the HSA page on the website.
SPRING GALA CHAIRS & DATE ANNOUNCED
We are thrilled to announce that Katie Dattillo, Lauren Stovall and Scarlet Campbell have agreed to chair next year’s Spring Gala, Dancing With the Wilmington Stars! The event is planned for April 22 in the Upper Room 1871 in the Historic Tileston Building. This is HSA’s biggest fundraiser and past proceeds have gone towards our new gym floor, funding art, music and technology. If you are interested in participating as a dancer this year or helping put on the event, be sure to let Katie, Lauren or Scarlet know!

St. Mary’s Home and School Association provides allotments for each teacher to use for extra supplies for their classroom, for special projects or field trips. HSA funds come from a small portion of enrollment ($15 per student), Falcon Fright Night, the Spring Gala, and Boxtops Contests.
